Beau is a designer, educator, writer and curator, currently based in New York City.  His interests are rooted in an interdisciplinary discourse and located in  threshold; the delineation and integration within and between practice, discipline, experience, representation and reality.

 

He has practiced both architecture and landscape architecture professionally in California, Iowa, London and New York.  He is currently an Associate Partner with Foster + Partners in New York City.  He has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Boston Architectural College along with being a visiting critic at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design and Iowa State University’s Rome Program.

 

He obtained his undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from Iowa State University, where he was awarded the American Society Landscape Architects (ASLA) Honor Award.  He received his Master’s in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design with Honors and was awarded the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Henry Adams Medal.
